Why is Ixalan NOT just part of Zendikar?

lol, you are the one comparing the world building in LotR and GoT to MTG. MTG's worldbuilding is bad video game tier. It is not just about the space, Zendikar had multiple continents, but the continents might as well be bloody villages for all the world building depth they have. FFS the puddle from the rain on the sidewalk has more depth. NO MTG plane (outside Dominaria) has any depth at all. Like I have said previously, the worlds are concepts inhabited by functions. They are basically Star Wars worlds (the movie ones anyway), though Coruscant is still more fleshed out than Ravnica.

If their decision to make a bloody city world, deliberately feel small, they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. I am not sure why you would great a city-world though just to make it feel small.

Someone else mention they are hat worlds, ok fair enough, then stop talking up mtg's lore, worlds and characters as some good worldbuilding.
