J. Cole Speaks Out On Cancel Culture, The Trouble With Fame and Schooling Young Rappers

I'm not accusing him of being a rapist or serial killer or even a woman beater if that is what you're asking.

What I'm saying is, and even Em would probably say this, his earlier music featured a lot of tracks about being abusive to women - only later does he start to compartmentalize that in terms of his ACTUAL relationships and his lyrical creations.

In Rap God he asks "If I can't batter the women - how am I supposed to bake them a cake then?" which is a really clever self deprecating way of talking about how his relationships with women have bubbled up in his music AND been misinterpreted.

My point in adding em is not to say that he's either been wrongfully or rightly accused or should or shouldn't be "cancelled"

My point is to show how infected the game is.
