J.H. Williams III Wasn't Told About DC Comics' Promethea Plans

To address the "concerns" of the usual crowd of people who want to have a go at Alan Moore (and J.H Williams, it seems) for whatever new reason, here's a more nuanced version of the situation, rather than the reductive "well he sold the rights" line.

Promethea and the rest of America's Best Comics was ostensibly written as a set of creator-owned titles under the banner of the WildStorm imprint, and was proposed as such by Alan Moore to Jim Lee when it was still under the Image Comics label.

WildStorm was then sold to DC, without Moore's knowledge (that's the key point here). Moore reluctantly agreed to these terms after the fact as he'd promised work to a few artists on these titles.
