Jack the Ripper is really overrated

I am very aware of the factors surrounding his popularity, which is why I think they should be researched rather than the actual killer, the environment of Whitechapel, the intense disliking of immigrants and Jews, the way the press affected the investigation. I feel like these far more interesting topics take a backbone because of Jack the Ripper. I wasn’t aware of the police force though, I was under the impression that at the time they were very organised (within London at-least) but were incredibly unpopular. Thanks for the information and thank you for referring to an incredibly dark historical figure as ol’ Jackie, I absolutely love that and now refuse to call him by any other title.
