[Jackson] Another veteran Dolphin has indicated he would like a trade, we're told, but when I asked the player this week he made clear he would not admit to it. Unclear if they will deal that player (it's not Xavien Howard ).

It’s not ridiculous, whatsoever. When a team rebuilds, it usually takes 3-5 years. When a team implodes, kills any desire for FAs to come, kills any desire for a competent HC to come, gets embarrassed, etc, it is different than a standard rebuild—it will take 5-10 years before the team can compete for a playoff spot. You being up Cleveland, who went 0-16 in 2017. It’s 2019 and they’ll be lucky to be 8-8–they just were fucked almost as badly as Miami. They won’t compete for a spot until 2020 or 2021, especially in a division with an improved Bengals, Ravens, and never-to-be counted out Pittsburgh.

Phins will be 1-15 or 0-16 this year. Every cornerstone will be/is gone by week 8: franchise LT to Houston, and a future All-Pro DB. Also, anyone young and talented: Wilson, Drake, Parker, Rosen, Gesicki, etc. And for what? Picks so they can have a chance to have players on the same level as the ones they traded? Do good LTs and potentially elite DBs grow on trees? For Tua, who isn’t even that great of a prospect?

This is embarrassing. 5-10 years isn’t uncommon. Tampa hasn’t had a winning season in a decade, I believe. The Browns haven’t had a winning season since Derek Anderson was throwing to Braylon Edwards. Buffalo didn’t make it to the playoffs from when I was a toddler until I was a young adult. This Miami team hasn’t been shit since Ronnie Brown and Pennington were at the helm. 5-10 years. It’s realistic. It’s just what you don’t want to hear. But, okay, what I said isn’t as realistic as the Phins becoming the McVay Rams—get a fucking grip.
