JAMA editor fired due to racist podcast and tweet on his watch

Just because you want to be or want others to be a victim doesn't mean it is true. There are LITERALLY are very few qualified people of colour who would be eligible to editors of journals in my specialty. Those who are qualified and want to be editors have reached that goal and those who don't aren't. NO ONE is stopping people of colour from being on editorial boards as much as you want to believe it.

Women make up the majority of pedatricians now and are section chiefs and heads of departments in pediatrics now. Men are in the minority. It takes time to change and just because there isn't immediate change doesn't mean there is a problem NOW.
