I think the problem is tone is lost in a tweet, and post Weinstein its not cute to look like you’re sexually harassing people ‘hahaha’ it’s a joke etc. So people are more sensitive to that currently. It’s interesting because my partner gets aggressively hit on by gay men if we ever go to a gay bar together. So much so that he will often not want to go with me (which is a shame because most danceable music and Ru Girls are often at GAY in soho for example). But he often says to me it’s really not nice to go to the loo or go to the bar and get asked over and over again if ‘you wanna try it’ ‘no one will know’ etc, he gets upset over it, he’s also had friends who are gay who have made comments when drunk and he’s always been a bit ... wary? Idk it’s funny to a point but then I think there’s probably a grain of truth about it as well.
