January empties! Mini reviews in comments

products L - R

Milky Dress Anti Trouble Refresh Moisturiser: gel consistency, has a pretty good ingredients list but not moisturising enough for me, even with oily skin in a humid climate. WNRP

Korres Pomegranate Moisturising Gel Cream: a good plain day moisturiser, but nothing special, and I have others that I feel work better for me. WNRP

Tony Moly Appletox Moisturiser: gel consistency, smells like sour candy apples (in a good way). a very nice moisturiser for layering with my other products during my night time routine. packaging is adorable but a little bulky, definitely not for travel. RP

Becca Stick Foundation: HG for summer when i only want to cover any breakouts and not slather foundation all over. almost imperceptibly matched to my skin. Also incredibly convenient for travel. Have several backups!

The All Natural Face Age Defying Extracts Moisturiser: was a HG until they reformulated it, now my skin doesn't like it any more although the ingredients haven't changed :( WNRP

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel: quite a nice moisturiser for day time use under sunscreen, not too heavy but packs a good hydration punch. RP

Yes to Coconuts face wipes: i hated these. they smell like coconut oil but are so incredibly harsh and scratchy on the face. they also claim to 'instantly hydrate' but they definitely don't, they leave my face dry as a desert. i found i could only use these with a barrier between them and my skin, so to wipe off sweat after a workout or oil from oil cleansing. do yourself a favour and avoid these at all costs. definitely WNRP

Polished London brunette dry shampoo: HG. really affordable, doesn't leave my hair feeling crunchy, inoffensive scent and does exactly what dry shampoo should do. have several backups!

Lacura Essentials Caring face wipes: these are an Aldi brand, they are very gentle and moist. i use them for removing the oil after oil cleansing, and they work great. RP

Ophelia Make Up Rounds: another Aldi brand, they are soft and cost effective and don't leave lint when removing makeup. I also use these if I just want a quick cleanse in the morning with micellar water. HG

Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Curl mascara: HG, I use this everyday and constantly get asked if I'm wearing falsies. Its the right price, doesn't flake, has a curved brush and I just love this stuff and will keep buying until they stop making it or I die. It's perfection. Have backups!

Mizon 8% AHA Peeling Serum: this is actually really good and I would purchase it as my daily AHA if it was at a better price. I find it quite hydrating and I like the texture which is more viscous than many chemical exfoliants. Also has no smell and I noticed fast fading of my post-acne hyperpigmentation. I'm using Cosrx AHA atm but will consider repurchasing this product if it goes on sale.

Sum 37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick: The 'miracle' in the name is a bit of a stretch, but this is a great cleanser with a pleasant scent that lightly foams and is at the right pH for effective cleansing without disrupting the skin. Also great for travel since its a solid cleanser in a tube form. I do have a backup of this since it's so convenient but I wouldn't call it a HG. It is also ridiculously expensive for a cleanser but I only alternate between this and oil cleansing so I feel it's still ok.

Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence: this was lovely and I will repurchase at some point but I have other toners/essences that I am working through right now. Light on the skin but still did a fair bit of glow-giving.

some generic goat milk soap with manuka honey: i like this, i use it instead of body wash since i prefer soap on my body. you can see quite a generous amount of manuka honey ribboned throughout the soap, it's quite pretty. RP

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum: is very soothing on the skin and is decent at hydrating but nothing spectacular. it's a very 'plain' serum if that makes sense? would be good for someone who has very sensitive skin and wants something to boost hydration, but not for me. WNRP

Its Skin LI Effector: this is a licorice serum and i love it! it's very plumping and i do notice a faster fade in my spots when i use this every night. RP at some point but not immediately.
