there’s probably other pinoy working in japanese or other multi-national companies. factory worker, car industry, etc. but entertainment business was big back then so it is not surprising that many, if not most, of pinoys (di lang pinays) went to work in the entertainment industry in japan. mga banda, singers, dancers, hostos and GROs. actually, may term sa japan about establishment na pinoy theme, they call it フィリピンパブ or philippine pub. if you watch some japanese tv drama/movies minsan nafefeature yun. tapos mga songs/music natin they call フィリピンポップ o philippine pop. not sure what exactly but probably mala-april boy/aegis.
