[jareddiamond] EXCLUSIVE: A January letter from Rob Manfred to Jeff Luhnow reveals the Astros ”dark arts“ and ”Codebreaker“ — the operation behind the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal.

Even in this thread there are a bunch of "like you can talk" or "of course you'd support trash like that" type comments to completely normal Astros fans. And this is a tame thread. Yes, some are handling it like children and bring it on themselves. But let's not act like people are being nice to them.

And the Uno example was to show that people cheat with nothing on the line, where as I pointed out generational wealth is at stake here. People cheat at Uno, in school, at work, board games, to win elections, bar room pool, on the spouses, hell people even break the law driving and cut people off to get somewhere .8 seconds faster. People cheat to win raffle ticket prizes at charity events for fucks sake.

That's the point. Cheating is everywhere. All the time. It seems like a cynical view of the world but it's reality. It's every man for themselves. And the reason most players have kept their mouth shut, is because they have seen or participated in questionable things happen too.

This is just like the steroid era. Every single fan base should be afraid to wag their finger at others.
