Jason Bateman today

It’s a sticky situation. I personally believe that he just meant that, like any other actor on set, Bateman would only do AD if everyone was available for it, not just Tambor. Tambor is like 60% probably not in the wrong on the Transparent set, but I think that incident is amplifying the snap at Walter quite a bit. While actors should be decent people, they should not be held to an inhuman standard and fired at the drop of a hat. Rather they must abide by the same professional conventions that a normal job would mandate, as opposed to being vilified for mistakes like getting regretfully angry on set. Firing shouldn’t ideally happen but it’s absolutely an effective means to solving an ongoing problem with various abuses in acting. I think, since they are human, these actors should be forgiven to some extent, but offered an incredibly short leash with severe repercussions for repeat offenses. This could set a decent precedent in Hollywood and help conjure a more positive culture in defending against the abuse of individuals in the acting world.

Sorry I’d rambly and polarizing, just a lil drunk. Looking for peoples opinions counter opinions on this, want to understand more of why this Bateman situation could worse than I might think!
