My interpretation of the problems with BioWare/EA:
They can’t stick with a formula. Every release of their’s in the last 6 years has been plagued by too much “imagination.” We don’t need unlimited planets in Mass Effect, that’s not even close to what made the original trilogy special.
They shove multiplayer in to games that don’t need it, and it ends up hampering both the campaign and the online. Either make an online game or make a single-player RPG, stop straddling the fence.
They over-promise and under-deliver. Take a page from the Fallout 4 announcement, where Bethesda showcased a game just 6 months before release (and released a mobile game that evening!).
