Jason Schreier - The Past And Present Of Dragon Age 4

My interpretation of the problems with BioWare/EA:

  • They can’t stick with a formula. Every release of their’s in the last 6 years has been plagued by too much “imagination.” We don’t need unlimited planets in Mass Effect, that’s not even close to what made the original trilogy special.
  • They shove multiplayer in to games that don’t need it, and it ends up hampering both the campaign and the online. Either make an online game or make a single-player RPG, stop straddling the fence.
  • They over-promise and under-deliver. Take a page from the Fallout 4 announcement, where Bethesda showcased a game just 6 months before release (and released a mobile game that evening!).
