If someone brought out papers, or data, in the last month, as the situation evolves, that would be pretty dubious in my opinion. You would maybe release a paper, with some sort of preliminary results, but it isn't something that you would change policy over. This stuff takes years of papers, data collating, and peer-based assessment, before you can draw solid conclusions. You certainly don't want to be jumping the gun, and rescinding precautions due to a recent study. Our current precautions are based on previous experience, it is highly effective, however, inconvenient to most people. I understand people's frustrations, but we have +3000 Canadians dead at this point, and we have a ways to go before we can rollback precautions, and not get another 3000 Canadians killed totally unnecessarily.
