Is JavaScript a worse language to study than Python?

I don't think you are seeing the big picture.

I'm trying to kill 2 birds with one stone. I already have to sit down and study for general interviews and do LC crap (which usually is never used in day to day coding). So doing that study in JS would ALSO prep me for those specialized front-end interviews.

And I'm trying to get advice on whether this is a good idea or not. But so far can't get a clear answer.

a) stick with python for most interviews and LC. Study JS when needed.

b) Start fresh with interview study and start JS in LC. No need to study JS when needed.

So I THINK what you're suggesting is to keep what I'm doing A), because of the significant GOTCHAs with JS.
