Honestly I think not a lot of people realize how much work it is to be a hot girl. I consider myself attractive but I probably put way more time into looking nice than the average person, and most of my pretty friends are the same. I feel like we all minimize the amount of time we put in because it seems lame to come off as high maintenance. There's also so many different components that go into your appearance (skincare, hair, makeup, fitness, stylish clothes), so even just picking a few to improve can have a pretty big positive affect on your overall confidence and appearance. I had pretty low self esteem op before I learned to really get good at makeup and doing my hair.
