Jeff Bezos: World's richest man pledges $10bn to fight climate change

I grew up extremely poor. Now I am very wealthy. About five years ago I decided I was going to figure out how much assistance I received growing up and then pay it all back with interest to the same or similar organizations so that others like me would be able to have the same opportunities.

In one year I donated a little over $100k. I had several people claim I was making money off doing it and wasn't actually losing anything. similar how people believe if they got a raise it would put them in a higher tax bracket they would owe more money a lot of people thought by me donating money I would not only receive all of it back is a tax credit but I would be putting a lower tax bracket and pay less on the remaining taxes. Even after showing them that's not how taxes worked they still didn't believe me.

Most people have almost no idea how taxes really work.
