Jeff Flake and Dianne Feinstein move to raise the age for purchasing shotguns and rifles. [10/01/2018]

I'm actually kinda ok with the California law. Before you downvote hear me out.

The law exempts LE (even though CA requires LE to be 21), those on active duty, and those holding an active hunting license. So an 18 year old can still go buy a gun they just need to hold a hunting license first.

  1. Even if it only brings in a few hunters we need all we can get right now. Hunting licenses are at an all time low and we're going to be up shit creek in 10 years if we can't recruit more.

  2. To gun grabber who don't know any better it creates the illusion that you have to be 21 to buy a gun. So the first time an 18 year old commits a major mass shooting as far as they know the person couldnt own a gun anyways and strengthens our argument.

Now at the end of the day I would rather they kept it at 18 and even lowered the handgun age. But this is kinda a "brightside" of it.
