Jeffrey Tambor To Possibly Return To 'Transparent' After Amazon's Investigation

yes, and the reason blackface is frowned upon has jack shit to do with the trans movement being upset about a man playing a character who no longer identifies as a man. Do some research on blackface.

The whole point of the trans movement is that they want to be fully accepted as women. On that note, they should actually be pushing to have cisgender women play "trans" characters.

As-is, Tambor playing that character is no different than a gay man playing straight or a straight man playing gay. It goes with the job of being an actor. I'm more offended Ellen Page played a straight girl in "Juno" than I am about Tambor pretending to like to wear dresses - which, for what it's worth, might not have been acting if the allegations about him wanting to have sex his former assistant is true, given that former assistant has a penis and all.
