Jerk Doordash Driver

I do not agree with how the driver handled it, but I actually just side with the driver. This is delivery, not perfection. We are not paid extra to wait. That almost never happens in my experience. Almost zero tips based on time spent at the restaurant. Literally happened one time and it was 10 dollars for like a 25 minute wait (tip promised from customer). And the driver is actually right, if they want the freshest cooked food, then maybe they should come to the restaurant and eat there. This isn't illegal and strict stay at home order hasn't been a thing for a long time now.

Starting an order after the driver arrives is just not acceptable in my opinion. IDC if it takes 2 minutes or 10 minutes. This is not a delay caused by the shop being busy. This is not because of some external circumstance outside of the control of the restaurant. This is because the restaurant is CHOOSING to make you wait. That is the part that is not acceptable to me. If they are choosing to make me wait, they should choose to pay me more.

Now, of course I would not handle it so aggressively. I might have said something if it was a long wait or it would just be clear from my body language that I am annoyed that I had to wait on an order. At least I would likely not have stood there and argued.
