Jermaine Kearse is not worth $2.36 million.

I have shit on them after they shit the bed in the playoffs and the Superbowl. You say "amazing Kearse catch" i say "90% luck and 10% good hand eye coordination" because that was not a crazy catch like OBJr makes or Gronk makes or any of those guys that truly make amazing catches.

Yes i realize they were thrown into those positions, and Baldwin i take up the least issue with (he really is a solid and talented receiver and i have said in every comment since the SB that if he was covered by a CB2 or CB3 cause we finally had a WR1 and WR2 from the draft or FA that demanded the defenses best defenders on them).

But dont think its apples to apples...that if you put them on another team in another division or conference that they can just slide one-to-two spots down and fit there (from WR2 to WR4). Our WR's get man/single coverage because of the threat of Marshawn running, that means they only have to beat one guy to get open enough. They do not do it consistently (except Baldwin but even he has some rough games sometimes). Now imagine them on another team where that team doesn't really have a run game, so Kearse/Baldwin/Lockette/etc are double covered. Also imagine they are in a division in the AFC that unlike ours, is all about passing...so the opposing teams build their teams around defending the pass not so much defending the run. Now all of a sudden the skill level a WR needs to have to get consistently open is much different than what it is right now in the NFC-W on the Seahawks with our #1 rushing offense and the extremely scary Beastmode and the very deadly Russell Wilson (his legs). Just think, defenses probably respect our wideouts the least of any wide receiving corp in the NFL considering they are UDFA's, they are playing above their level (lost Rice, Percy, Tate, none were replaced by equal talent) and the defenses are so scared of Russell's legs (keeping him in the pocket) and Beastmodes legs (loading the box and eyes starring at him to see if he runs it). So our wideouts probably have the easiest it can be in the NFL...yet still the struggle so much.
