october 9, 2005 ... Update: the age of computers has made the passing of false information just as easy and accelerated as the true. We are not scheduled to play Two Stick in Oxford on October 21st. As we previously stated we are planning on playing a show or shows in the near future but our recording schedule makes timing a delicate matter. Be assured we will give adequate notice when one of these shows is booked. Interestingly enough this mishap has brought to light another matter. We realized that if we were to play such a show that some people possibly planned on traveling long distances to come see it. It's an incredible feeling to know you have friends and fans as dedicated as that, but in truth, if you aren't in the area we'd rather you stayed at home. As a touring band we like the idea of bringing music to you, which is THE idea, and while our touring practices have been on rest recently, we promise that they will return en masse force. We also promise that nothing going down at the sushi place in downtown Oxford is worth spending hundreds of dollars in airfare, or with current affairs being as such, thousands of dollars in gasoline to come see. If you have that kind of money to spend we would appreciate it very much if you chose to donate it to a better cause, especially to the red cross or hurricane Katrina victim funds. Living here recently we have met quite a number of people who were effected by the storm first hand and we can tell you the stories always give us pause. Either way we ask you not to spend your money on traveling to something that was built to travel to you. And on a lesser note (but an equally true one) be careful with your keyboards, and don't be quick to believe.. well, anything.
BUT BELIEVE THIS!!!!: Brian Lane has been playing his drums with a serious ferocity and gracefulness. He secured JC on the first take yesterday and, oh, played so beautifully. we are recorders and are recording and record.

gLorYBe september 30, 2005 Here is what's happening. We have all currently moved to Oxford, Mississippi and teamed up with friend and producer, Dennis Herring in what will hopefully be the final leg of recording and writing for our next record. It is a beautiful town and sweetTea is a beautiful studio where we have been able to put aside our obtuse northern states of mind and get on with the noise. Thank you people of Oxford for not complaining about the racket. We will be playing a show or two in the area before halloween as a sort of no production, low-fi, new song dress rehearsal, or past work review, or cover band try out, so keep your ears and eyes peeled. That's about it. Pictures and updates from the studio will be appearing often so you can see what is kind of going on and what pedals we use and all. We'll be seeing you in the square.
))<>(( vin.brian.garrett.jesse september 9, 2005 So it looks like jesee will be taking on the role of "dJ" at the upcoming MWCandANIMALS show this Saturday at theDowntown. This means he'll be bringing as many of his cd's and records as he can manage and then trying to piece together about an hour of as many rug cutters as possible for you folks before the band goes on. It will be light on the faders and don't expect no smooth segues or scratcccccching cause it ain't happening. It's not a show, it's a party, and if you're holding up the wall then you're missing the point. (last phrase in quotes)

also you can bet G V and B will be there to make sure Pharoahe Monch gets his due spin. august 29, 2005 So me and Vin have taken a small trip down to Mississippi to look at a studio we are interested in. As always we tried to time our travel with some form of a natural disaster and we succeeded. wE didn't let it dampen our time though and we have enjoyed a couple beautiful days in the South. Luck and prayers to everyone we met fleeing New Orleans and other areas. We are now on our way home, flying like rebel fighters.
nEWs?? :? There is a small chance that one of us may be taking on the role of DJat the upcoming MenWomenAndChildrenshow at thedOWntOwN in New yoRk. Either way the ReaL party starts when that band gets on the stage.
Also visit our store if you've got a couple of extra bucks. It is filled with shirts and other debris that, like many other things having to do with our band, we are quite finished with. So pick one you don't hate because once these are all gone we assure you no one will ever see them again.
We! have! officially begun! to make tentative! plans for our first tour in what is turning out to be quite a while. But wait. If you love us don't get too excited and if you harbor a deep loathing for us then don't get angry because it will not happen soon if we are talking about time in a relative manner, but we ARE planning it now and we figured we should at least alert you all. YES! beCauSE we LOVE you.
