Jesus died for our sins. What if he hadn't?

When you learn about science, archaeology, biology, evolution etc, the logical thing is to believe the scientific facts. The bible does not accurately describe the formation of the earth and its creatures..The bible's description is illogical. If i believe that the world was not made in seven days, that Adam and Eve were not the first humans and rather that we evolved from primates and humans are a relatively new species, this is contrary to the word of God..So if i believe these things, even though they're perfectly logical, i can be condemned to Hell..What about all the billions of people in pre Christian times. What about the billions of people today of different religions? You think they're all condemned to Hell?
