John 10:30-35

"I am the Father are One"

The Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus replied, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these are you going to stone me?”

The Jews answered, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you, but for blasphemy, because you, though only a human being, are making yourself God.”

Jesus answered, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are Gods’?

If those to whom the word of God came were called ‘Gods’—and the scripture cannot be annulled...

In this lil snippet of scripture, Jesus is overheard saying "Me and God are the same person", and the dudes who overheard it flip out and go to stone Jesus to death for being cray cray in the hay hay. Jesus is all like "Whoa, shit son. Chill. It's not like I'm saying me and me alone am one with the father... and to back his claim up he quotes the Psalm writer from The Law... the part he was quoting reads...

I have said, “You are Gods, children of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, you shall die like mortals and fall like any prince.”

The same scripture Jesus uses to claim he is the messiah is one that applies to literally anyone. There's no unfair advantage that Jesus had as "the bosses kid" that you don't have as well.
