Jesus Would Hate This Christian Blogger Just as Much as You Do (Response Included)

Matt Walsh's Response via his Facebook:

Look, I know there are a lot of blogs and websites out there that have written not-nice things about me. There's even at least one entire website devoted to "debunking" my opinions. I don't ever link to or promote these articles because they are attempting to leech off of my platform by criticizing me. I don't even think the criticisms are sincere most of the time. Just fringe bloggers trying to get hits by attacking another blogger with more traffic. But in this case, Gawker is an allegedly major website with an already large following. They published this extremely lengthy (and you know it's long if I call it lengthy) hit piece a few minutes ago, and already a dozen people have emailed me about it. I don't think they wrote this for publicity as much as they wrote it out of pure spite and hatred. And I happen to think that liberal spite and hatred should be highlighted and pointed out. To be honest, I haven't read the whole thing yet. I'm trying to get through it, but the writing isn't terribly clever or witty, so it's a bit of a slog. If you're going to take a few days to type up a novel listing all of the reasons why I'm Satan incarnate, I'd appreciate it if you put a little bit of creativity and ingenuity into it. I'm honestly more insulted that it's lazy and contrived than I am by the actual insults peppered throughout. Also it recycles and rehashes the same old progressive theological fallacies over and over again. I wish, in this 4,000 word insult, they'd gotten around to articulating an interesting or different perspective, but maybe that part was cut out during the editing process. Although, I will give them credit for taking Christ's brief mention of "eunuchs" as an explicit endorsement of transexuals. I hadn't heard that heresy before. Maybe because even the most shameless heretic hasn't, until now, been disingenuous enough to suggest something so asinine. Anyway, I did scroll to the end and see that the writer insists she'd never presume to accuse me of not being a "real Christian." Yet she begins the piece by saying that Jesus Christ hates me. Way to take the high road, lady. Very inspiring. Then I noticed a few of the comments at the bottom insulting my appearance and I tuned out at that point. Liberals have no real insights to offer, only vulgarity and middle school put downs. What else is new? I'm just flattered to have reached a level in my career where I get to be Gawker clickbait. Where does that go on my resume?
