[Jim Valley] opens an interesting debate: "If the Saudis buy WWE, what does that do for wrestler salaries, production budgets, etc? Would WWE then follow the Jake Paul/Logan Paul lead and book a bunch of high-priced celebrity matches? I think the economics of pro wrestling are changing this year"

If, and that's a big IF, the Saudis ever bought WWE... rival promotions will likely have a very difficult time with bidding wars.

I'm sure most wrestlers (along with most of the human population) would prioritize money over morals. Unless you're careless, having millions of dollars could potentially set you up for life. If a wrestler prioritizes financial security, WWE is the clear and easy choice, just as long as they don't mind working alongside the Saudis.

Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean EVERYBODY would be enticed by a Saudi-backed WWE. Kenny Omega, Nyla Rose, and MJF could potentially have issues going over there. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn would also likely be gone from the company.

Regardless, if WWE took a more aggressive stance on signing top prospects with Saudi money, companies like AEW and NJPW would be negatively affected by the threat of talent purges.
