I'm triggered by this story and I'm going to rant for a second. My dad (fricking Gary as my younger sister and I call him now) has been a cowardly, spineless, self absorbed, pathological liar pretty much since he became middle aged). I guess he was sorta ok before then. Anyway, when one of his nieces was about 16 he was livid and would not shut up about how she was too young to be living with her boyfriend etc etc. All this coming from a "man" who refused to intervene when my older sister was literally getting her butt kicked by a boyfriend, could not care less about our whereabouts at night, wouldn't take me to the ER when I slashed open my toe on a glass mirror because he was too busy watching baseball...Yet there he was showing extreme concern for this niece. Why is it all clear now?
