Oh yeah no I totally understand how horrible cigarette smell is to people, which is why I always carry hand sanitizer, hand cream, and travel perfume in my bag! Even when previous employers never cared, I still did it just to not be an inconvenience to the customer. I just never thought I would see the day where smelling like fragrance was looked down upon. I was told I’m expected to smell like “ nothing”. And if they got a whiff of any fragrance no matter how small they had full reason to send me home which I thought kind of sucked :/ even if I didn’t smoke I still like smelling nice. A coworker of mine told me she got sent home because her SHAMPOO had too much of a fragrance and was asked to leave.
