What you're really asking is what careers have enough downtime to play golf while having enough expendable income to support the habit.

And this 100% depends on where you live. I have friends who live in San Francisco who make over $250k but have neither the time nor the budget for golf. And in other places you can make $50k and live large while having plenty of time and money for golf.

You need to first understand what you're good at. Are you going to be a knowledge worker or a tradesman? I'll tell you right now that being a knowledge worker is long hours and competitive while being a tradesman is hard work but pays well and has plenty of open positions. There's benefits of both. But this question while easy to answer for each individual is difficult to answer for you whom we know nothing about.

I'm an entrepreneur, investor, venture capitalist, and currently managing software development for a company I founded. It's not an easy path to playing a lot of golf.
