Jobs in the industry?

There are way more applicants than jobs in the industry and wages aren't great unless you have an ownership stake in the company or got hired because you are personal friends with someone who can pull those strings for you. Employees are treated pretty poorly unless you are absolutely invaluable to the business because there are people lined up to take that job for less than what they are paying you already so why should they put up with an 'annoying' employee who wants to be treated as a human? So many 'cannabis executives' are horribly uninformed pseudo-professionals who think that they can run their businesses with nothing but good vibes and positive energy instead of actually treating it like a business, or worse, the types of executives that pay thousands of dollars to go to fancy 'entrepreneur workshops' but struggle to be able to pay for their company's day-to-day operations - instead putting the burden on their employees to keep their ship sailing with duct tape and chewing gum. I've been working in the cannabis industry since 2010 (actually had to take a quick break in the middle due to professional fatigue) and my best paying position paid about the same as a manager of a mid-tier retail store in a shopping mall. All in all, I've worked as a genetics manager, extraction technician, dispensary manager, marketing director (for one of the largest dispensary groups in the state) and currently work on the marketing side in another capacity so I've seen the scene from a couple angles.

I'm currently brushing up my resumé and hope to make an exit from my current employer ASAP because of the above issues. Keep in mind that these are generalities and strictly from my own personal experience, so I'm sure some good companies exist, but they seem to be few and far between compared to some of the other industries I've worked in. And hey, if anyone knows of one of the elusive 'good ones' that are hiring for management positions (I've got a key badge and a mortgage, part time budtender / trim jobs aren't gonna cut it these days) give me a shout and I'll send my resume over ASAP.
