Joe Biden says he won't stand in the way of a possible prosecution of Trump

Nononono!

Biden needs to do the exact opposite and actively push for Trump and his cronies to be in jail. I don't care that it seems just like the "Lock Her Up" bullshit. We know Hilary did nothing illegal, and we know Trump, his family and his minions have broken numerous laws. Ignore the false cries of hypocrisy. It's just noise. Besides, the other side doesn't care about seeming hypocritical, why do you?

The CORRECT thing for Biden to do is reestablish actual rule of law in the U.S. and make sure that no other President for the rest of history will ever attempt the shit Trump did. Biden needs to set a clear precedent that those presidents that abuse their power will pay for it dearly, including everyone that supported them.

The current precedent, set by Ford, is to forgive the past crimes. This first let Nixon go free, then let Reagan off the hook for Iran Contra, it let Bush 2 off the hook for too many crimes to be counted. This is bullshit.

Accountability isn't political retribution. Worried that the next Republican president will use this an excuse to illegally target previous Democratic presidents. Who cares? They'll do whatever they want anyways. Moscow Mitch didn't let Garland be confirmed, but now says if a seat opened up now, he'd definitely confirm a new nominee even though there's just days left in the presidents term. Republicans just want power and they'll manipulate all the rules and break any laws they need to in order to get it.

Biden's presidency can either make sure we never have a close call with totalitarianism again, or it will let the Republicans get away with four years of graft, illegality and treason. I vote for the former.

Biden needs to use the full force of the American government and come down on Trump and everyone even remotely connected to him in such a way as to make people 100 years from now shiver at it's severity, intensity and thoroughness. Again, justice isn't retribution.
