Joe Manchin released his proposal for a 1.5T budget resolution bill - what are your thoughts?

none of that counters what ive said. renewable energy is going to drive oil refinement and drilling, hydrogen is a byproduct of that.

So? It's not useful on it's own. Terrible volumetric energy density. If you're going to use hydrogen from hydrocarbon sources, you might as well just use the hydrocarbons on their own.

lithium-ion batteries will evolve into lithium-sulfur batteries creating an even higher reliance on oil...as the primary means of obtaining sulfur comes from refining oil.

Sulfide ores are a thing. Ask anyone who mines copper. And it's by no means rare.

you dont like that? develop a better technology.

Lithium ion batteries are already better than fuel cells. Look at the number of fuel cell vehicles on the road. Fuel cells are expensive to make. Maybe methanol fuel cells will start replacing internal combustion engines on heavy trucks, but for commuter cars it's going to be some chemical battery technology.
