Joe Rogan Experience #1157 - Shooter Jennings

Not defending Alex Jones, and not defending him against YT and FB kicking him off. I dont necessarilly think it's a free speech issue.

It think the waters are much more murky. When are we responsible for what others do based on what we say?

Let's go back to Daniel Tosh's joke to the heckler "wouldn't it be nice if she was gang raped right now?" What if someone did just because of that joke. Is Daniel Tosh responsible for actions of other dipshits?

Alex Jones even though he said Sandy Hook was a hoax he didnt tell people go there or send death threats. It was a small minority of knumbskulls who did. So at what point is he responsible for the actions of a small minority of idiots who take matters into their own hands and that matter is harassment?

In both cases Daniel Tosh is a comedian and we know this is Alex Jones's schtick. At what point do we hold people responsible for their words regardless of intent just because a small minority took those words serious and did stupid shit.
