Joe Rogan Experience #1208 - Jordan Peterson

or you can pay attention to the situational basis of it, respectively, and understand that the truth is some people get it more than others in some places, and quit ignoring it if it benefits yourself. if women aren't getting the same jobs, why can't we find out why and hire them? if black people are disproportionally ummm fucking murdered and jailed by an unchecked police state, let's change some shit and save the bullets and riots and everything else for another time. It's a situational thing. Like Jordan said in the podcast at one point about the lower working class. They don't feel included in the intellectual class and liberal class because those people don't accept them, and deride them. Well if those things changed, maybe you'd have some more consciousness and some people would quit voting against themselves out of spite and stupidity. if you can change what makes women get less pay than a man, or not get hired for a job she could actually do as well, then you make things better 50 years down the line. 100 years down the line it isn't a battle anymore, it's a blurb in a history book where they'll read and go "I can't believe we used to think like that". because well we had to work to change it. We ignore the shit for hundreds of years and it created the very tension that we find in every goddamn debate we have nowadays. You don't have feminist stuff if 200 years ago we didn't divorce them with shotgun shells and deeds of ownership. You don't have people of color and minorities being vocal and angry now if we didn't put chains on their feet hundreds of years ago. We don't have woke twitter, SJWs, LGBTQ movements, or anything like that without the inverse causes and reactions.

We add fuel to fires by ignoring them while they burn and just saying "this is fine." it isn't fine. People aren't gonna just bitch and debate forever. At some point down the line someone is gonna get an assualt rifle, a bomb, a megaphone, anything to explosively react to being ignored and shit on, no matter what race they are or whatever. even white males will have the same relationship with their oppression. You can't keep someone in a box forever, they bust out and when they do they're angrier. It's got to be better to at least try our best to be aware of what people deal with, and then we can do the whole live your life, i'm an individual thing. But I don't fucking know or care anymore. I'm sure someone finds fault with this argument. Fuck me. I'll always be alone anyway.
