Joe Rogan nailing an elk from 67 yards with Cameron Hanes

But as Joe has said, although this might be more acceptable, it's not practical. We can't feed a society off of hunted meat. 300 million American mouths to feed each year, would wipe out wildlife if that was our source of real protein (meat).

Responsible, farming is the way to go. BTW, the free range bullshit for chickens, is all horse shit. Chickens are stupid as hell (and cannibalistic) and don't CHOOSE to go outside at free range farms. They stay inside where there is feed, water, and other birds. Birds on the commercial farms are communal and like being close to other birds. They also isn't widespread abuse as shown in documentaries. The integrators (Tyson, pilgrims, Cobb) take that shit seriously and farmers will get cut out of they have ill birds or abused. Also, the farmers get bonus's based on performance (bird weight or egg production) bird comfort and health directly correlates to performance so that's heavily incentivized.

(I've been in the business for some time now and have traveled to farms all over the country). That said, I hate my job and I don't care about the industry other than the fact that chicken meat is the cheapest and most accessible meat (and healthy, has minimal fat if it's not fried) in the world.
