His agenda is dictated by the people he interviews. He is predominantly a passive entity which allows him to host controversial conversations without being the mouthpiece for them.

Controversy will always attract attention, I think his only real agenda is to make money and he's found a pretty smart way to do it. I'm not the one with a $300m podcast after all. Obviously he's found a niche & while I don't always agree with his choices or even listen to him at all I respect his business acumen. He's found a way to make a lot of money, very easily, with a relatively low degree of liability. Alex Jones tries the same thing but with far less tact. His liability is high because he is the source of controversy, not the host.
