[Joe Thomas] "I hear Belicheck complaining about traveling to play in Mexico City... well the real complaining should be from teams that have to play on the west coast on Monday night... my friends on the Atlanta Falcons just got home at 8:32am. New week starts in less than 24 hrs."

I was doing this for the last few years, to SF. Getting out of frigid NYC in january is nice for sure, and while it's eternal spring in the bay area, the flowers and such seem to bloom to a greater extent in late January/Feb.

That said, traveling east to west coast all the time is really rather awful. I am talking about literally rolling over in the middle of the night reaching out to feel if your wife is there because you aren't sure which time zone you are on, the complete loss of a day on the way back east as you either leave at a reasonable time from the west coast and lose the day there, or leave in the late afternoon or evening and hope you get some sleep on the plane.

And yeah, when you are in the office until 7pm (and if you leave earlier- you just get to sit in traffic longer!), and don't have much energy to actually enjoy the weather, its not all that great.

Sorry for the off-topic rant here, but if I never have to go to the west coast for work again I will be a happy man.
