John Mara and Steve Tisch criticize Trump

They are by no means representing the organization at all times. They are private citizens just like you and me. Zeke was suspended for violating the NFL player rules of conduct as bargained for in the current CBA. But working at a law firm you'd know that, right?

You're an idiot. This wasn't even my argument. It was a pre-emptive rebuttal to a common argument being thrown around. Also, he got suspended for making the league look bad - that was the infraction. That means that they represent the league in everything they do. If they do something that besmirches the league, they can get suspended or fired for it. These are called "moral turpitide" clauses, and it means you effectively represent the NFL and the organization you play for at all times. Whether you disagree or not is irrelevant, that's the reality of how these contractual obligations work, and it's why they're frequently negotiated around in player/entertainer contracts - the NFLPA shafted its players by letting Goodell have that right. As a lawyer, it's pretty clear you don't understand the nuances of this.

On the other hand, Zeke or any other player wouldn't be touched if they were seen at a BLM rally or at a public park with a permit giving a speech about social injustice.

Probably not, but what if one of them was caught at an alt-right/Nazi rally? I guarantee they'd be out of the league. Not really sure what your point is here anyway - they can protest outside of gameday so they shouldn't be allowed to protest during gameday? That makes no fucking sense.

I don't get why everyone thinks they are entitled to use their TV screen time for whatever they want.

Because this is America and we have the right to protest? Are you seriously this stupid? The stadiums in the NFL were built with public funds. They're quasi-government property, so unless the owner tells them not to, the government has no right to restrict their ability to protest. They're fully within their rights to do so. The fact that you don't like it is completely irrelevant.

Not to mention they don't get to use their screen time for whatever they want. Kaep couldn't pull down his pants and start jerking off.

You also seem to think the players are in charge of the cameras. The cameramen don't need to show the protests. It's not like the players think "Oh damn I have the camera on me, better start actin up!" Kaep sat for the national anthem because he didn't feel it deserved his respect based on how our country has failed to live up to its ideals. You're a moron for tons of reasons, but you're especially stupid of you think they do this to get on camera.

We tune in to watch football, not half assed attempts at protests by overpaid athletes.

So why even have a National Anthem? Why have a half time show? Why have cheerleaders? Why have advertisements? I tune in just to watch football - that's all I should see right?

Again, you're a moron.

But my point is it doesn't do anything positive to their task at hand, that's why I believe it's not an appropriate time for them to do it.

That's not for you to judge. It objectively has advanced their cause, because people are talking about the issues being raised by the protest. That's precisely the point of a protest.

You're extremely narrow minded and immature. You want people to sit down and stay in their lane and never get uppity, even when they are trying to bring awareness to perfectly legitimate social issues. Fuck you. You're as un-American as our president.
