It's because of their genders. This is blatantly obvious to me. If the roles had been swapped with Katie and Greg, it would be seen as a woman that just needed validation, whose love language is words of affirmation, shutting down when that wasn't received and exhibiting closed off body language. Because Greg is a man, his body language is perceived as aggression I guess. He left her room. My abuser was a woman. She did not leave your room to get space. Ever. She would in fact be more like Katie, following and pursuing you if you had the audacity to try and get space.

So i don't agree with the thought that his body language was aggressive, but I also understand why it's seen that way by some because of the natural and societal power dynamic between men and women.
