Johns and Tricks - the type of clientele I’ve encountered

Not worth my time. You’ve moved the target. Yes micro leads to macro. But the type of objectification that was being referenced in the comment you originally responded to is not the same kind of dehumanization that characterizes society’s view of sex workers as a whole. Society doesn’t view sex workers as sex toys. They view you as subhuman, impure, dirty, valueless, whatever. They don’t view you in a utility way, because they don’t use your services (they being the vast majority of society).

If a client views you as a sex toy, and you view him as a piggy bank, because that’s the full extent of your interactions with one another, that’s harmless and nobody’s feelings should be hurt, so long as you still treat each other with basic respect. That doesn’t contribute to sex workers’ whole social image.
