Joker’s Five Way Revenge from Batman #251 is one of the best (and most underrated) Joker stories

I’m not the biggest biggest Joker fan and frankly I think that the best aspects of the character are done much better by the Riddler, however if he is going to be front and center I think that this is the best way to portray him, as fundamentally the same character that Cesar Romero portrayed in the 60s, just a bit more sinister ie an evil clown that is deep down a clown, just an evil one as opposed to being a serial killer in clown makeup who Robin to death with a crowbar and who raped and crippled Batgirl. I went back and read Death in the Family and Under the Red Hood recently and I’m with Jason Todd on that one, Batman needs to kill that Joker, even moreso if we take the Killing Joke to be a real story in the canon and not a one off elseworld thing, and Batman’s refusal to let the Joker die is insane.
