Jordan Peterson breaks down crying after being described as a 'incel hero'.

Loneliness is not a choice in the typical sense. For instance getting bullied/left out throughout your schoolyears does things to you that make what you may call a choice to be lonely seem inevitable.

Some people stay out of the dark places and ”make it” anyway, and that’s great. But that’s also where survivorship bias kicks in; them making it out by themselves does not imply that everyone can do it without help. These guys need help, they need a friendly face, a few words of encouragement - before they go past a point of no return, where they completely distrust the world and everyone around them. Shouting at them won’t make fewer shoot schools up or cause suicide rates to drop, even though the anger they cause is so very justified.

The left is in denial about failing this demographic, and instead doubles down on going after people like Peterson. He’s said some shitty things but I really think he understands a portion of young men today that most refuse to acknowledge, and more people should tap into that. He’s far from an ideal mentor but a mentor figure nonetheless
