Jordan Peterson suggested that killing and making fun of Jewish people is bad, and his audience went ballistic

I know this was long ago but:

http://www.ohrc.on.ca/en/policy-preventing-discrimination-because-gender-identity-and-gender-expression/7-forms-discrimination

Key part: 7.4, gender based harassment and sexual harassment "Gender based harassment can involve: Refusing to refer to a person by their self-identified name and proper personal pronoun"

https://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/csj-sjc/pl/identity-identite/faq.html

Key part:

"Will “gender identity” and “gender expression” be defined in the Bill? A. In order to ensure that the law would be as inclusive as possible, the terms “gender identity” and “gender expression” are not defined in the Bill. With very few exceptions, grounds of discrimination are not defined in legislation but are left to courts, tribunals, and commissions to interpret and explain, based on their detailed experience with particular cases.

Definitions of the terms “gender identity” and “gender expression” have already been given by the Ontario Human Rights Commission, for example."

And of course all languages are "made up" in a sense but do you think it's wise to a) make people liable for punitive damages in tribunals that don't have a burden of proof with b) legislation that is intentionally vaguely written and left to interpretation and guidelines of tribunals (and courts), leading to c) people possibly facing the consequences of a and b if someone on a whim can choose a pronoun which d) is a closed class and extremely hard to change even in the case of a single word, much less ones that can theoretically be produced on a whim and as such are practically infinite.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Part_of_speech#Open_and_closed_classes

Key part: " However, it is very unusual for a new pronoun, for example, to become accepted in the language, even in cases where there may be felt to be a need for one, as in the case of gender-neutral pronouns".
