Bro this isn’t some mystery. Of course Shami aren’t literally from Arabia no genetic tests ever state that. We’re Arabs by culture and religion not by blood. Compared to Europeans or even maghrebis yes we’re closer to Arabs than some denier might say. But in reality we are Levantine or shami, this is our ancestry. It hasn’t changed much since over 1500 years ago. The most ancient people of the Levant were natufians who are more like Arabians. But after that the Levant reduced massive influx of Anatolian and iranic admixture, which we’ve had for over 2000 years essentially.
