JRPGs need to get to the point

You're not exaggerating at all.

I enjoyed Persona 5 enough to play it through(man the style is just out of this word), but omg is it damn preachy and sooo bad at subtlety.

And I just had to know the twist and ending.

Just fast forward through "gossip" parts definitely.

Towards the end of the game though, I felt like the plot had to cut something out strangely. It felt so weird and out of place when your so called teammates "sympathized" with a villain. Felt like that dude should have had a palace that we went through and understood more of where he came from. The palace of an expert twisted persona user would have been an interesting concept
