Judge orders police officers possessions to be auctioned off in order to pay out to man shot and paralyzed for riding his bicycle into the street.

I've only ever been hassled by a cop once, and to this day I still have no idea what he was trying to find. I was working afternoons at the time so I got out of work at 9pm, stopped at the grocery store on the way home and got a premade sandwich from their deli. I got pulled over as I was pulling into my apartment complex, and I figured it was about my taillight which I knew was out.

When he asks if I knew why he pulled me over I told him probably the taillight and that I was planning on fixing it when I got paid on friday, and he just nodded it went back to the car. Then he comes back with my license, reg and proof of insurance and immediately starts asking me about where I was going, what's in my car, and if I had anything he should know about. I was confused and told him I just got off work, was coming home and got a sandwich. Then he tells me "I don't need to know about a sandwich."

He asked where I lived (which I thought was stupid because my license had the street address on it that I was currently pulled over in front of), I point to the building we were at, and he goes back to questioning me about where I was coming from and what was in my car. Finally I just showed him my name badge as proof that I had just come from work and was going home. Then he suddenly let up, wrote me a fix it ticket for the light, and told me to have a nice night.

Really bizzare experience all around.
