Judges won’t block voter ID law for 2020, but lawsuit will continue

1.) The law that was passed gives each local board of elections a machine to print a Free Voter ID for all eligible voters, in addition to a host of other state, federal, student, and employee IDs. The Free Voter IDs are available up until the Friday prior to an election. https://www.ncsbe.gov/Voter-ID

2.) I absolutely agree that voting day should be a Federal/state holiday so that people can go vote.

3.) Virtually every voting age adult has some form of ID. If you think that minorities don’t have IDs you’re misguided and wrong. Also, with State IDs costing $13 (with options for no-fee IDs for homeless and disabled individuals) and the addition of Free Voter IDs even the poorest among us have access to some form of ID with which to vote.
