Draxler told Hecking three weeks ago that he wants to leave the club, and is unhappy with the fact that Allofs and Hecking have been publicly saying that Draxler will certainly stay.

Had few text exchanges with Allofs during the Euros, but he only talked to Hecking about his desire to leave.

Now he's back in Germany and they're still communicating through the media instead of talking to him directly. So that's why he felt that it was time to hear his side.

On why he should be allowed to leave with a contract til 2020:

They promised him last year when he joined them, that they'd let him leave when a good opportunity comes. Both Hecking and Allofs assured him of that.

Wolfsburg offered a good perspective back then, but they were always going to be a stepping stone for him. Everyone knew that he wanted to go to a top club abroad. It was agreed that they'd talk when other clubs show interest.

I haven't followed this saga, but nobody looks good in this. Draxler even less so with this damaging interview through Bild.
