[June 7 to 13] Weekly positivity thread—a place to share the good stuff, big and small

I am just happy that so far this summer feels like a real summer so far. Last year at this time was just a very dark and divisive time with all the political unrest going on on top of the Covid hysteria. It felt like last summer did not really happen. No baseball, no amusement parks, no concerts; the whole country seemed to be overcome with politics and fear and we were all at each other's throats since we did not have many things to bring us together because of the lockdowns. Fast forward to the present and I love seeing full ballparks, packed amusement parks, people ditching the masks, and people enjoying one another's company. Life is not all politics all the time like it was at this time last year and we are embracing normal life again. Even in my dark blue city, I am seeing a quick attitude shift (just waiting for people to ditch the masks outdoors, but that is a big hurdle apparently).
