Jury awards $7.3 million to Penn State whistleblower in Sandusky scandal

Yeah, no, I'm in a fraternity at PSU as of now, anybody in greek life who praises him gets mercilessly shit on. It's not a common sentiment unless its expressed sarcastically or ironically to highlight the cultish nature of our school. People really only point out that they feel bad for the players that got the short end of the stick, thats about it.

The people who support JoePa are almost entirely alumni from before the scandal broke. People at the school now don't care because we weren't here when it happened and we can't do anything about it other than try to rebuild the reputation of the school after the fact. We have the largest alumni base in the entire world, there are bound to be crazies when you consider that over 600,000 living people went to our school. That's like the entire population of Hartford, CT. The football boosters from the super successful 80-90s era are incredibly stuck in their ways when it comes to the school, the current students on a macro scale, aren't. When they honored JoePa at the beginning of the season, half the student section turned backwards or was busy talking and drinking. Big news story on here when it happened, almost none of the undergrads were for it, most didn't care at all, and many contentiously objected
