Jussie Smollett indicted by special prosecutor in Chicago, source says

My point is that her "lie" probably started long before it was ever politically advantageous for her. Maybe its something she was told by her parents. I didn't claim she gained nothing from claiming ancestry, I said that a lot of people (not just Warren) assumed they were descendants of Native Americans back when there was nothing advantageous about it.

I still don't think you've proven she's a clear, impulsive liar. Where's the dozen+ examples? She had vaguely similar omelette recipes in a book some 40 years ago? My god that's grasping for straws. It doesn't really even prove that she knew she was plagiarizing. Her family might have fibbed about the heritage of those recipes.

I really don't care enough about Warren to keep defending her, but this is just my take on the whole situation from the perspective of a disinterested bystander. The likelihood of her becoming a national candidate is pretty low so you can put the pitchfork down. Focus on some of the big liars like the ones currently in office. ;)
